Announcement: I’m teaching a course about the Creator Economy
Being a meta-creator and creating a course about the Creator Economy
Hi readers, an exciting announcement ✨
I’m launching a cohort-based course about building for the Creator Economy!
The tweet thread is here—join the discussion.
I'll teach live classes with amazing guests, and we’ll cover case studies & frameworks I’ve learned from studying this space closely, meeting with hundreds of companies, and actively investing in the space.
This course has been a really long time in the making. It encompasses a ton of original research that I’ve never written or spoken about publicly before. So even avid newsletter readers will get a ton of new stuff out of it. 😊 Students will be the first people in the world to hear this content!
It’ll start on February 22 and take place over 3 weeks. We’ll cover case studies of how creator companies overcame the cold-start problem, monetization, creator-market fit, creator psychology, and metrics to measure. There will be incredible guest speakers like Blake Robbins from Ludlow Ventures and Kevin Lin from Twitch. After taking this course, you’ll be better equipped to build and evaluate creator-focused products.
Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s what Sam Yam, the CTO and President of Patreon, had to say:
Li is one of the deepest thinkers in the creator economy. I'm lucky to have benefited from her frameworks and perspective via our many conversations over the years.
Who did I build this course for?
Early-stage founders & employees in the creator space
Operators at later stage companies who want to better understand creators as a segment of their user base
Investors and anyone else who want to better understand the creator economy (i.e. everyone?!)
A large part of it will be community-based, with projects and group learning with other founders and operators building in the space. I’m working with Gagan Biyani, Wes Kao, and Bhaumik Patel’s new startup to offer this, which you can read more about here.
We’re going to limit capacity to keep it intimate and ensure a great experience.
looks great! best of luck!
I'm a creator, not a platform builder, so I'm not really a fit for the course... But I am super curious about what platform you're using to deliver the course! 😏😏😏
