One thing this makes me ask myself is whether crypto's most important innovation wasn't tokenization, but the financialization of attention itself.
The challenge is that attention, contribution, and value aren't the same thing.

A lot of the volatility we've seen feels like a consequence of collapsing those three things into one signal.
Q: what comes after attention as THE primary organizing mechanism?
Because communities eventually need ways to recognize contribution and coordinate value without dependent on popularity.
